The paper describes a lunar mission based on a universal small-sized platform equipped with an electric propulsion system for precision mapping of the lunar surface. General issues of small spacecraft delivery to the Moon are considered, including injection schemes into the translunar trajectory and maintaining the specified orbital motion in lunar orbit. The main aspects of mission development and implementation are presented: spacecraft design and set of service systems, candidate electric propulsion engines depending on the chosen lunar transfer scheme, flight control scheme, approaches to selecting primary and secondary payloads.
