Mathematical model of magnetic tornado
Abstract:
The concept of magnetic tornado in magnetohydrodynamic plasma is introduced, for which a mathematical model is proposed, based on the apparatus of continuum mechanics and Maxwell electrodynamics. The scaling of the system of equations of a magnetic tornado is considered. Using three specific examples, we study the mutual influence of plasma dynamics and the magnetic field and the possible occurrence of a magnetic tornado. Of particular interest are the results of a study of the interaction of the plasma and the magnetic field for the motion of the plasma along the magnetic field.The stability of plasma flows of the tornado and antitornado type was studied. Some unresolved issues on the problem of tornadoes in atmospheric air related to magnetic tornadoes are considered.
