An exact Riemann solver in the algorithms for multicomponent gas dynamics
Abstract:
This preprint deals with the elaboration of the algorithm for multicomponent gas flows simulations in the presence of strong shock waves. Standard finite volume Godunov-type scheme gives the effect of numerical pressure oscillations on contact discontinuity. In order to fix the situation the convenient modification – double flux method – is described and tested. The simplicity and robustness of the method render it as good candidate for the realization in multi-D algorithms.
