Satellite magnetic attitude: Lyapunov control and determination using electromotive force in magnetorquers
This work utilizes magnetorquers as the sole attitude control system unit used both for control implementation and determination. An algorithm of the three-axis attitude determination using the measurements of the electromotive force induced in magnetorquers is proposed. The extended Kalman filter is applied. The paper studies the accuracy of the developed algorithm, its dependence on the angular motion of the satellite and measurements noise. Three axis attitude is achieved with the Lyapunov control.
