Investigation of Weibel instability in laser pulse interaction with overdenseplasma
In the current work to investigate filamentation Weibel instability in various systems the computationally efficient particle-in-cell plasma simulation code CFHall has been used. The numerical parameters which are sufficient for adequate description of the process in question have been chosen. The chosen parameters
and simulation instruments are verified for a system of two relativistic plasma streams, both cold and with a finite temperature. Application for relevant problems has been demonstrated with the simulation of laser pulse interaction with overdense plasma layer for several pulse amplitudes. The dependency of the ratio of energy
transferred to magnetic field formation on this parameter is obtained.
