Mathematical Modeling of Emotional Dynamics.
Abstract:
In this paper a new mathematical model of human emotional dynamics is stated. This model is based on the Simonov's need-informational theory of emotions. The considered in the paper version of the model describes dynamics of behavior of two of four basic emotions - that are emotions of joy and sadness. A detailed analysis of model system behavior is provided and some ways to examine is this model adequate or no are proposed. A number of psychological consequences, which are in agreement with conceptions about human behaviour in simulated situations, is obtained . On this basis some psychological concepts (such as adaptation ability, irascibility, interest to a certain task, a property to be a man of business or a man of mood) could be interpreted in a new way and expressed in a numerical form. New possibilities of evaluation of individual mental profile of a person and prediction of person's behavior in particular situations on this profile's basis could be discovered after thorough experimental study of this model.
