The efficiency of collisions simulation in the particles-in-cells technique
Abstract:
On the base of two codes for kinetic plasma particles simulation of spatially non-uniform non-stationary problems described by Fokker-Planck equation the comparison of the implementation efficiency of code pieces with relation to collisions simulation is done. Both programs use the particles-in-cells technique to simulate self-consistent dynamic.
The collisions via numerical solution of the stochastic difference equations system (stochastic analog technique) vice macro particles binary collisions is discussed.
