An Analytic Equation for the Shock Wave. On a Class of Equations of State

Abstract:

We demonstrate that for the state equations, the problem of the shock wave has an analytic solution only for a certain ratio of the viscosity and thermal conductivity, namely, if the Prandtl number is equal to three-fourths.
