Design, deployment and keeping of nanosatellite-based tetrahedral highly elliptical orbit formation
Abstract:
The problem of designing, deploying, and keeping a highly elliptical orbit tetrahedron formation of one chief microsatellite and several deputy nanosatellites is examined. To maximize formation quality, initial orbital elements of all the satellites are searched using the K-60 supercomputing cluster. Formation deployment schemes are proposed taking into account possible orbit injection errors.
