Construction of evolutionary models of closure of second order for turbulent flows on the basis of expanded irreversible thermodynamics
Abstract:
Considered a modern approach to the thermodynamic modeling of developed turbulent flow of a compressible fluid, based on the application of the formalism of extended irreversible thermodynamics that goes beyond the hypothesis of local equilibrium due to the commissioning of the number of basic parameters of the state of new independent variables − dissipative fluxes, as well as the modification of such conceptual notions as entropy, temperature, pressure or chemical potential. Description of the turbulent motion of the fluid in frameworks the two-fluid continuum model consisting of two interconnected open subsystems − the subsystem of average motion, which is obtained by the weighted average averaging of hydrodynamic equations for the instantaneous movement of fluid medium and the subsystem of turbulent chaos (coupled to pulsation motion of the fluid), allows the framework of this formalism to construct a new model of second order closure based on causal differential transport equations for turbulent flows.
