Adjustment of the MOMS-2P Equipment Using Angular Rates Measurement Data And Readings Of The Optical Star Sensor.
Abstract:
The german equipment MOMS-2P is accommodated on the Priroda module integrated with the Mir orbital station. This equipment consists of three separate cameras installed in a special manner and designed for surveying the Earth's surface. To interpret the surveying results properly, an accurate reference for the station in-orbit attitude and a spatial refer-ence for the MOMS-2P pointing direction are required. The station in-orbit attitude is determined with a high accuracy from the GPS data. The Astro-1 star tracker installed on the Kvant-2 module and spatial gyro units are valid instruments for determining the MOMS-2P camera pointing direction. The joint using of both instruments allows to get the best results. Therefore, it is necessary to determine and take into account the mutual attitude differences of the sensors being considered. This work describes techniques of the telemetry data processing for both instruments, methods of their alignment calibration and an analysis of the results.
