A Numerical Algorithm for Calculation of Compressible Inviscid Subsonic Flows about Flying Vehicles.
Abstract:
A numerical algorithm for three-dimensional compressible inviscid subsonic flows is presented. The steady-state solution is obtained as a limit of time-stepping procedure. The conservation equations of gasdynamics are written in curvilinear coordinates. The method of alternating directions is implemented for solving difference equations. For one of the directions the implicit scheme is used. The numerical results for the flow about a sphere for several Mach numbers are presented.
