Computer Kinetic Simulation of Ion Heating in a Process of Excitation of Ion-Acoustic Oscillations by Beatings of the Opposite Electromagnetic Waves in a Weak-Collision Non-Isothermal Plasma.
Abstract:
Computer kinetic simulation of ion heating in a process of excitation of ion-acoustic oscillations by beatings of the opposite electromagnetic waves in a weak-collision non-isothermal plasma is performed. The influence of both the nonlinear and collisional processes is considered. In two cases, when the beatings' phase velocity (which is close to ion sound one) is either much more then the ion thermal velocity or of the same order. The dependence of the ion heating rate on the ion temperature, ion-ion collision frequency and pump wave amplitude is investigated.
