The asteroid and comet missions trajectories of a nuclear electro-rocket spacecraft
Abstract:
Ballistic analysis of high-energy scientific missions making use of electric propulsion with energy supply from nuclear power plant is represented. Missions include an asteroid or comet rendezvous with sample return to the Earth, a multiple asteroid flyby or rendezvous. A selection of feasible missions schemes with most easy-to-reach and scientifically valuable candidates for targets was done.
