Computation of eddy sensible heat transports in the atmosphere using Charney – Branscome approach
Abstract:
Meridional and vertical eddy sensible heat transports were computed using Charney – Branscome approach what is based on the baroclinic instability theory. Several numerical experiments were carried out. Climatic data and the results of the zonal averaged dynamic model simulating were used as the initial data. Modeling eddy sensible heat transport compared the climatic data and the results of other authors. An analysis of the results shows that Charney – Branscome approach can be used in the zonal averaged dynamic model as a parameterization of the eddy sensible heat transport.
