The widespread use of information technology in the humanitarian sphere was associated with the massive emergence of personal computers and the Internet in Russia in the mid-1990s. The idea of interdisciplinary cooperation between humanities and IT specialists during the period of the Internet was based on the concept of open network scientific communications. The need for quality information for the humanities is the main goal of our service projects in the history of science. This article analyzes the experience of creating of the open archives on the history of science in SB RAS.
