The task of forming and presenting an interdisciplinary collection for the digital knowledge space
Abstract:
The paper investigates the issues of the formation of interdisciplinary thematic collections in the digital space of scientific knowledge. The content of the work on the formation and presentation of an interdisciplinary collection, the rules for organizing and presenting interdisciplinary digital collections in the information environment of the Scientific Heritage of Russia electronic library are considered. It is noted that the organization of work on the formation of an interdisciplinary collection in the digital knowledge space involves the following steps: determining the subject of the interdisciplinary collection, determining the structure of the sections of the interdisciplinary collection, determining the sources for presentation in the interdisciplinary collection, scheduling work with sources, generating metadata, creating digital copies of objects (including digitization and layout of an electronic object), placement of created digital copies on a specialized page. Types and types of multidisciplinary collections are shown. The main types of sections developed in most interdisciplinary projects have been developed. It is considered that the information presented in the interdisciplinary collection includes two components - metadata describing the characteristics of the resources and actually digital information resources, namely, digitally presented objects of library, museum and archive storage are printed and manuscripts, graphics, photographs, audio, video materials, museum items. A methodology for the selection of materials for the formation of an interdisciplinary collection is proposed by the example of creating a collection dedicated to Nobel laureates, citizens of Russia and the USSR, as well as those born in Russia and the USSR The text of the abstract.
