Building the Information System for Researching the Regional Social and Economic Development
Abstract:
The article presents the intermediate results of the design and development of the academic information-analytical system aimed at analyzing socio-economic development data of the regions. The existing systems for collecting and analyzing domain-specific regional data were evaluated and functional approaches were developed to solve the shortcomings of existing solutions with respect to collecting, processing, analyzing regional data, and an infological model for presenting final information. The results of testing the functionality of the system are presented with an example of a study on regional portals of electronic participation conducted by e-Governance Center at the Institute for Design and Urban Studies at ITMO University.
