The article presents the main problems of implementing a global course of development based on the digital transformation of society, determined by the priorities of scientific and technological development of Russia. It is shown that the tasks of the digital economy and the development of various sectors of the real economy should be systemically interconnected. Three key problems of digital transformation of society are formulated and considered: a systematic approach to strategic planning, the lack of demand for scientific organizations, and the crisis of the institute of modern management. The article describes the main results of scientific research of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the interests of digital transformation in a number of areas (artificial intelligence, high-performance platform for research, modeling for the synthesis of new materials, etc.).
