Abstract:
Altmetrics is a new kind of bibliographic metrics which has started to ensure a strong position in evaluation of the quality of scientific research. In contradistinction to the classic bibliographic metrics calculated in the frames of a bibliographic database, altmetrics provide an evaluation of the interest of the scientific community to an article, author, scientific group from the point of view of demand to such a research in social networks. Development of the altmetrics is connected with the popularization of social networks and scientific forums.
