Back to the future: possibilities of digital humanities in studies in history of philosophy
Abstract:
This article identifies the heuristic potential of contemporary digital humanities approaches in research in history of philosophy. The features of contemporary approaches to digital and computational philosophy are reconstructed respectively. The use of computational and quantitative approaches is substantiated as one of the characteristics of the contemporary global history of philosophy. Researches in institutional history of philosophy and the concept of 'distant reading' are examined. Experiences in using digital humanities approaches in contemporary education abroad are reconstructed.
