Fractality in the design of settlement subsystems in gas processing clusters
Abstract:
The response to the closure of the European gas market for Russian suppliers is the development of gas processing facilities, in particular, for the production of ammonia and nitrogen fertilizers, in Russia. The methodological grounds for choosing a site for the construction of a gas processing cluster are formulated. The authors compare three options for the placement of gas processing clusters in Russian regions – in Kursk (a failed project of PJSC Kuibyshevazot), Torzhok (Tver Region) and Gryazovets (Vologda Region). The advantages of placing a gas processing cluster near the Torzhokskaya CS have been identified. The fractal dimensions of the transport infrastructure of the Kursk agglomeration and the Torzhok and Gryazovets settlement subsystems are considered in terms of their ability to ensure the construction of gas processing clusters near compressor stations (CS) of main gas pipelines. It is concluded that when designing a gas processing cluster and a settlement subsystem near Torzhok, it is advisable to use the experience of the Kurkazot project.
