In recent years, the presentation of full texts of scientific articles in HTML format has become increasingly widespread. It has a number of advantages for online publications compared to the traditionally used PDF format due to its more advanced tools for structuring material, embedding multimedia content and implementing various interactive and dynamic capabilities. However, converting manuscripts of scientific articles with complex content and a large number of formulas, tables and figures from the MS Word format often used by authors into this format, so that the structure of the scientific article is reflected and the formulas are included in a machine-readable format to fully realize the advantages of HTML, is not an easy task. The existing software either does not cope with it in full or is expensive, which led the staff of the Information and Publishing Department of the Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics to decide to develop their own converter that would be suitable for KIAM preprints. The paper presents the results of using the alpha version of this converter.
