Methods for constructing navigation descriptions of routes for cartographic computer systems
Abstract:
The purpose of the thesis is to develop algorithms for building personalized navigation descriptions of routes to simplify the interaction of a person with a computer in the field of transmitting information about the path and creating software tools based on them for use in existing cartographic systems. New algorithms for constructing and recognizing a personalized cognitive textual description of the route have been developed and implemented, simplifying the use of navigation-cartographic systems. The proposed algorithms are integrable in a wide class of navigation systems operating on both stationary and mobile platforms. To build textual descriptions, an auxiliary sentence synthesis algorithm has been developed based on probabilistic values, which gives the appearance of live speech to the generated text. Based on the studies and experiments on the formation of a cognitive map in the human mind and the perception of a textual description of the path, new algorithms are proposed for storing and displaying route data that take into account the psychology of perceiving cartographic information.
